Virtual Reality Marijuana Cafe

Virtual Reality Marijuana Cafe

If Walt Disney were alive today, what would he be focused on? I suspect virtual reality.

Convinced as the next recession / multiple 21st Century crises begin compounding, people are going to escape harder than ever before. And what can be more escape than virtual reality?

My theory of virtual reality is based on: Thomas Piketty's Capital in the Twenty-First Century (wealthy inequality rising); Siegfried Kracauer's Salaried Masses (distraction a key component to capitalism); Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse (big demand for escapism mid depression).

I think what's missing is some kind of "big thing" that makes virtual reality a household must have. Not sure what that would be.

A pop device (like the iPhone)?

Something hyper functional (like phone calls are easier / cheaper lol)?

Something easy to wear (like sunglasses?)

Do virtual reality pop-up cafes emerge? Perhaps with a business model that makes them cheaper & better entertainment experiences than the traditional movie theater, or staying home on Netflix. What if this Virtual Reality Cafe also served legal marijuana?

I mean really, if history repeats itself, tell me what's the difference between these two images:

Maybe the future of virtual reality is cinema's past?
