K Street (2003)
This is a really good show — fuck the idiot criticisms. First of all, it’s interesting. Most things are not interesting. Secondly, it’s experimental while at the same time genre. A loosey-goosey affair equal parts alluring & perplexing. It gives you a feeling of being an insider to an exclusive world (by its use of documentary elements [speaking to real politicians, use of small cameras]). The blown out, embrace-of-digital, cinematography is bold. Love this show.
To see the show I had to buy the DVD. LOL, I love how all the graphics for this show that’s online are less than HD quality (because HD wasn’t really a thing in 2003). And how the screenshots from the show still have the black bars on them (back when TV’s were square):
